Where it starts
Fabric that began
as a plant.
Every piece in Drop 1 starts somewhere that grows. Beech wood from managed forests in Austria. Cotton grown without synthetic pesticides. Nothing here started as crude oil, which is where almost all activewear begins.
We did not pick a fabric off a shelf. We spent six months getting one made, then had it tested by somebody with no reason to be kind to us.
What it is made of
Three fibres. We name all of them,
including the one we wish we didn’t.
Beech wood, regenerated by Lenzing in Austria. Silky, cool, and traceable by the QR code on your hangtag.
Grown without synthetic pesticides. Soft, breathable, familiar against the skin.
The stretch, and the only synthetic in the garment. Which is exactly why we name it.
We could round up and call it plant-based and hope nobody checked. We would rather tell you there is five percent of something else in there, and let you decide.
The second fabric
One piece
is different.
The cream wrap is the one piece that is not black. Lighter than the rest, with a drape that moves rather than holds.
A soft, natural cream, chosen so it layers over the black instead of competing with it. The only colour in the drop, and the only piece we made for looking at rather than training in.
What we kept out
The list nobody
else publishes.
Every brand tells you what is in the fabric. Almost none will tell you what they left out, because leaving things out costs money.
- No polyester. No nylon. Not a reduced amount. None.
- No PFAS finishes. The forever chemicals used to make fabric repel water and stains.
- No antimicrobial coatings. The thing that stops synthetics smelling. Plant fibre does not need it.
- No extra chemical fixing bath. We wanted a contrast trim. It needed one. We removed the design instead.
The proof
We don’t ask you to trust us.
We show the certificate.
Our fabric was tested for harmful substances by an independent institute and certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Class I. That is the strictest class there is, the one applied to clothing made for babies.
The proof travels on the garment. Lenzing’s own hangtag carries a QR code that verifies the fibre, from a company with nothing to gain from flattering us.
